Welcome to House Zober
The name "Zober" is derived from "Zuber", which means washtub. People used to meet up at House Zober for a nice chat while washing their laundry in the Mühlbach, which today runs only underground. Since then, several generations have been running the house as an accommodation for holiday guests in the centre of Oberammergau.
Sadly the original farmhouse could not be preserved, so the house was built anew and opens its doors in August 2020. The balance of tradition and modernity allows for a comfortable stay with technical refinements. For example, each apartment can by easily reached by elevator.
Welcome to Naturpark Ammergauer Alpen
Oberammergau is surrounded by the Ammergau Alps. Our house is situated right in the centre of this beatiful village, next to the catholic church. Therefore, popular sights like the Passionplay Theatre are within walking distance. It is also a great starting point for numerous activities like hiking, cycling, cross-country skiing, sledging, skiing and more.
