Modern holiday apartments, built with a lot of heart and attention to detail. The spacious living units invite you to relax in romantic togetherness. Apartment “Wolfsgrube“ offers a private sauna and apartment “Kofelau“ has an infrared cabin for two; the choice is yours. Both “Kofelau“ and “Bärenbad“ have a whirlpool for two, with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains.

Welcome to House Zober

The name "Zober" is derived from "Zuber", which means washtub. People used to meet up at House Zober for a nice chat while washing their laundry in the Mühlbach, which today runs only underground. Since then, several generations have been running the house as an accommodation for holiday guests in the centre of Oberammergau.

Sadly the original farmhouse could not be preserved, so the house was built anew and opens its doors in August 2020. The balance of tradition and modernity allows for a comfortable stay with technical refinements. For example, each apartment can by easily reached by elevator.

Oberammergau is surrounded by the Ammergau Alps. Our house is situated right in the centre of this beatiful village, next to the catholic church. Therefore, popular sights like the Passionplay Theatre are within walking distance. It is also a great starting point for numerous activities like hiking, cycling, cross-country skiing, sledging, skiing and more.

Good to know

This is how it works

1. you can request a non-binding offer or book directly via our website.

2. you will receive a booking confirmation, on this 25% deposit will be charged. You will also receive the account information for payment with the booking confirmation.

3. after receipt of the deposit you will receive the reservation confirmation.

4. spend a few nice and relaxing days with us.

5. in the course of your stay, at the latest on the eve of your departure, you then pay the remaining amount. Gladly in cash, but also card payment is possible.
Parking is available directly in front of the house
Arrival is possible from 3 pm to 8 pm. On the day of departure we ask you to leave the apartment until 10 am.
Pets are not allowed
We have a large room in the basement, which is also accessible by elevator. In the ,,Kammerl" you can park your bikes, or dry your wet shoes.
